Without doubt the main features of this beautiful home are the Highland cattle on site and the views of the Firth of Forth and Isle of May. Lovingly refurbished, Clover Cottage has been in the same family for generations and is now offering a fantastic holiday home, finished to the highest of standards.
Accommodating four guests there are two bedrooms, two shower rooms and even two sitting rooms meaning there is plenty of space to socialise and for solitude when needed. Located between Crail and Cellardyke, a private road leads towards the sea and to the traditional row of farm cottages.
Entering the cottage you will first come into the bright conservatory sitting room which has the first of the incredible views. This leads through to the spacious dining kitchen with the dining table positioned by the window so you can watch the highland cows whilst you enjoy breakfast.
The sunny porch is the perfect spot to sit with a book and the sun streaming through and provides another entrance to the cottage. The sitting room offers another relaxing space to get together, chat or watch your favourite shows. A modern shower room with walk in shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs are the bedrooms—a double room and a twin room. Both rooms are fresh and welcoming and offer unrivalled views across the coastal path towards the Isle of May. The twin room can be arranged as a superking on request.
Start the day watching the array of wildlife- as well as the highland cows you will see many kinds of bird and possibly even a passing pod of dolphins or a minke whale. There is a further shower room on this level. Outside there is a well-maintained enclosed garden for exclusive use of the guests and parking for two vehicles. The Fife Coastal Path runs adjacent to the field in front of the cottage, easily reached in a short walk and from here you can travel East towards Crail and West towards Cellardyke and Anstruther.
With miles of unspoilt coastline, enjoy a picnic on the shore or maybe even try your hand at watersports in one of the nearby tidal pools. St Andrews is around 20 minutes by car and Edinburgh just over an hour, making the East Neuk a great base for exploring. There is a vibrant food, drink, arts and music scene locally with many great restaurants, cafes and producers as well as exhibitions, markets and festivals throughout the year. Clover Cottage is a welcoming home from home where you will be able to unwind, recharge and enjoy the natural beauty of this wonderful part of the world.
