Alistair will talk about the RRS Discovery. Built in Dundee for Antarctic research and launched in 1901, she was commanded by Robert Falcon Scott on her first mission, also on board was Ernest Shackleton. The talk will also include information about the major restoration of the RRS Discovery, the transformation of the Polar Museum and the Whaling industry.
