Four Unforgettable Fairways

££ - nights

Embark on a memorable three-day golfing adventure playing four of Fife’s finest courses. Whether a seasoned golfer or just beginning, this itinerary promises an unforgettable experience.

1Aberdour Golf Club

This golfing journey begins at Aberdour Golf Club, a scenic, parkland course known for its breathtaking coastal views and challenging holes.

The Front 9 ease golfers in to a false sense of security as they lead to a much more difficult Back 9, including challenging Par 4s (such as the tricky 11th) and even more difficult Par 5s, especially the 13th.
Having recently undergone several beneficial upgrades at the recommendation of renowned course architect Howard Swan, Aberdour offers an enjoyable day out for all golfers.

2Burntisland Golf House Club

Willie Park Junior’s only course in Fife, Burntisland was first laid out in 1896 after being surveyed by Old Tom Morris and offers a unique mix of scenic beauty and strategic design.

At a mere 5995 yards in length with a par of 70, Burntisland is a great parkland course for those seeking a relaxing day out and a low score. A reasonably straight-forward course, Burntisland’s strong point is its variety of holes, which, combined with outstanding views and a welcoming clubhouse serving good food, promises a good finish to the first day of this itinerary.

3Kinghorn Golf Club

The second day focuses on Kinghorn Golf Club, a hidden gem with an excellent, if challenging, layout.

Originally designed by Old Tom Morris, Kinghorn Golf Club dates back to 1887. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Firth of Forth, the course provides breathtaking views for golfers navigating the well-maintained fairways and greens.

The enjoyable layout caters to golfers of all skill levels with a mix of open spaces and strategic hazards and the clubhouse is warm and friendly, making Kinghorn a popular destination for both local players and visiting golfers.

4Balbirnie Park Golf Club

This first-class golfing getaway wraps up with a round at Balbirnie Park Golf Club. Set amidst the picturesque Balbirnie Estate, the course provides a testing but agreeable 18-holes that blends traditional design with modern features.

Suitable for golfers of all abilities, at 5957 yards and a Par 71, Balbirnie offers uphill drives, doglegs, cambered fairways, water hazards and more. The final 18th hole offers a 503-yard Par 5 with a burn surrounding the green, ensuring a final hole filled with risk and reward.
