Set over three levels, this traditional coastal home has been extensively upgraded. Located on the Fife Coastal Path in the picturesque fishing village of Cellardyke, the shoreline is just steps away.
Entering on ground level there is a spacious entrance hall which leads to the first two bedrooms and a bathroom. The king bedroom has a chic French ambience and benefits from an en-suite shower room. This bedroom looks out to the private courtyard. The twin bedroom is tastefully finished with a coastal theme and is suited to adults or children alike. The bathroom has a decadent feel with an oversized mirror above the freestanding bath.
On the first floor there is a double bedroom with exposed beams and a view out to the garden. The dining area is bright and a great space to gather for a meal. The open plan layout of the lounge and dining kitchen are another fantastic space to socialise. Well-equipped for cooking and dining, the kitchen has an additional dining space at the island.
The contemporary lounge exudes coastal living with wooden floor, whitewashed walls and a comfortable couch to relax into. The second floor has a study for some quiet time, a shower room and the fabulous ‘upper deck’- a large multi-purpose room with enviable sea views. A sitting area to the front is the perfect place to watch the fishing boats hauling in their creels and possibly even a passing pod of dolphins. To the rear is a bar area where you can enjoy your favourite tipple in good company or prepare your morning coffee before you sit to plan the rest of the day.
Accessed from the first floor, the outdoor space at Fisherman’s Neuk is as impressive as the interior. A set of stairs leads down to the enclosed courtyard and a further set of stairs lead to the raised terrace. As well as an astroturf lawn area, there is a spacious deck with quality outdoor furniture and barbecue area. The garage is reached from here, offering off street parking for two vehicles and ample space for walking boots, bikes and even paddleboards if you fancy trying some watersports at the local tidal pools or beaches.
Fisherman’s Neuk is just a few moments’ walk from the bustling harbourfront of Anstruther where there is a range of cafes, bistros, bars and restaurants. A popular destination for many types of travellers, the East Neuk offers a fantastic food and drink scene with many award winning independent local producers as well as a thriving arts and music industry with several festivals and events throughout the year.
Walkers can enjoy miles of unspoilt coastal path and photographers delight in the natural beauty of the area and the wildlife that can be spotted. Wild swimmers and those who enjoy taking a dip can make use of the tidal pool further along the coastal path and golfers are in within close reach of some of the most famous links courses in the world. St Andrews is less than 20 minutes by car and Edinburgh just over an hour.
