Designed under the guidance of two of golf’s original legends, Old Tom Morris and, later, James Braid, Scotscraig’s ‘sky-kissed greens and tempting fairways’ are held in high regard by golfers the world over. This superb Championship course has regularly hosted Final Open Qualifying, and other prestigious national championships, with players such as Ian Baker-Finch, Brian Barnes, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, Lee Westwood and Sam Torrance all rising to the Scotscraig’s challenge.
Scotscraig, the 13th oldest golf club in the world, is rightly proud of its history and its heritage, bringing past and present together to ensure an unforgettable round of golf.
A strategic tee shot favouring the left side of the fairway leaves a slightly easier second shot to a green protected by slopes and trees. No bunkers on this hole but a great challenging start.
