Lundin Ladies’ Golf Club dates back to at least 1890 and members originally played on a course which is now part of Lundin Links. In 1910, the club moved to Standing Stanes Park and a course designed by five times Open Champion James Braid, who built Lundin Ladies around the three 3000-year-old Standing Stanes towering 14 feet above the 2nd fairway.
Lundin Ladies is a testing course for highly-experienced golfers and is also a great course for beginners. The course is open to gentlemen and junior golfers but only women can be members of the club, which hosts ‘social golf’ on a Friday morning for ladies with and without handicaps.
This opening hole is 333 yards long from the Red tee and has out of bounds over the wall on the left, while on the right-hand side there are bunkers strategically placed to catch the errant drive. The fairway slopes deceptively uphill and from left to right. 329 yards from the White tee.
