Founded in 1855, Cupar is the oldest 9 Hole golf club in the world. Cupar Golf Club has existed since 1855 but played on various locations until about 1892 when the club leased the current land from Frederick Sharp of Hill of Tarvit Mansion House and, subsequently, the National Trust for Scotland.
Laid out across picturesque Hilltarvit, the course offers golfers a chance to enjoy a traditional Scottish golfing experience in beautiful surroundings. Maintenance standards are high and the course is renowned for its lush fairways and small, well-tended greens set into the hillside.
