Built on the outskirts of Dunfermline in 1902 as a 9 hole course, Canmore Golf Club’s course is unlike most as golfers don’t have to tee off on the 1st. The course was designed to meander around the clubhouse, providing a choice of starting points for golfers who only want to play a few holes.
Good play and accuracy are well rewarded in this fantastic course as there are a number of birdie opportunities throughout. And at the end of a round there’s a friendly clubhouse close at hand – regardless of which hole you finish at.
A short Par 4 to start but not without difficulty. A large bunker will swallow up any offline lay up shots and further bunkers to either side of the green will catch any errant tee shots going for the green. The green itself slopes quite severely from front to back and requires a delicate approach to hit and hold the green.
