Balbirnie Park Golf Club’s present-day layout was opened in 1983 as a 9 Hole course, with the back nine added a year later. Widely considered a fine example of the best in traditional parkland design, Balbirnie offers an honest – and highly-enjoyable, test of golf.
Presenting a challenging round to golfers of all abilities, this superb parkland course respects, accentuates and was inspired by its natural surroundings, with tree-lined fairways that flow towards well-maintained greens protected by strategically-located bunkers.
The opening hole is a slightly downhill 396 yard Par 4 dogleg left with bunkers down the right and trees to the left. The two-tier green has bunkers at either side making for a challenging start.
