Explore the rich history of the beautiful and iconic east end of St Andrews with our knowledgeable and local guides. The tour will start at the St Andrews War Memorial and take you on a journey into the past. Discover hidden gems, stories, and secrets by exploring St Andrews Castle, Cathedral, St Rule’s Tower, St Mary on the Rock, the historic Harbour and the traditional fishing cottages of the east end of Town, once known as the ‘Ladyhead’.
Our guides are happy to accommodate your interests - just let them know at the start of the tour and they can adapt the walk to your specification! If you wish to book the tour on an alternative day and time please email museum@stapt.org.uk and we will arrange this with you. The route is relatively flat and pedestrianised, although do be prepared for cobbled streets at some sections. All proceeds support our work to preserve the historic character and social history of St Andrews!
